Finding the right pillow for optimum comfort and your best night’s sleep isn't always easy. The perfect pillow is not only comforting and helps you sleep better, but it’s also beneficial to your spine health. It plays an important supportive role for your entire body head to toe, including your spine, neck, shoulders and back. It helps to keep your entire body in alignment. Identify Your Sleeping Style

A pillow’s number one function is to align your head and neck with your spine while you sleep. Your sleep style dictates what kind of support you need.

Side Sleeper- Go for a firm pillow, and one with an extra-wide gusset to help bridge the distance between your ear and shoulder. 
Back Sleeper- May need a flatter (or thinner) pillow to keep your head and neck in alignment. 
Stomach Sleeper-May need a soft pillow—or no pillow at all—underneath their head. A pillow under your stomach and pelvis may help prevent back pain.

      What your pillow is filled with can make a big difference, especially if you have allergies or are sensitive to certain materials.

      Down is the soft undercoating of waterfowl, which is comprised of individual down fibers that are connected to one another at a central point.       Feather and down mixed pillows tend to be more economical than pure down pillow. Feathers tend to come from the wing and back feathers of geese or ducks. They can still provide a soft and fluffy feeling and add provide more firmness and support but will retain their shape longer than down.

      • Down Alternative Pillow

      Down alternative pillow is also called synthetic pillow that is made of puffs of polyester provide a cooler sleeping experience than down. It designed to provide the same softness and comfort of down but are hypoallergenic and a better choice for those sensitive to respiratory allergens.

      Basically, the heat generated by your head (remember you’re 98.6 and the room is probably 20-30 degrees cooler) is absorbed by the pillow and it ultimately causes you sleep discomfort.
